Neighbourhood

It’s all about the arts in Smithfield. Whether it’s an indie film you fancy or some quirky handmade crafts, you won’t be looking far. With the best of Dublin right on our doorstep, we don’t plan on seeing you much.

On Your Doorstep

Transport links, street art, ‘grammable grub’. It’s all right here. Not to mention the odd distillery and/or brewery. If you’re that way inclined.

Shopping

Smithfield provides its own unique shopping experience. Local farmer markets are held on Smithfield square, sharing local produce and handmade crafts. Searching through the stalls, you never know what you could find!
If that’s not enough, Smithfield’s location means you get quick and easy access to the shops in the city centre.
From flea markets to high street shops to designer department stores your passion for shopping need never cease in Dublin.

Flea markets

Ha’penny Flea Market is one example of what Dublin has to offer if you fancy a browse that’s off the beaten track. This flea market takes place every Saturday in The Grand Social just across from The Ha’penny Bridge. Local designers and collectors present their once off pieces. Vintage clothes, vinyl records, jewellery books and so much more can be found within the stalls. We’d bet that whatever you’re looking for, they’ve got it!

Jervis Centre

Now it’s really time to get stuck into the high street serious stuff and head to the Jervis Shopping Centre. Take the Luas Red Line directly to the door and don’t come back till you’re loaded up with bags! The centre is home to a huge range of stores and high street favourite fashion outlets. It’s got basically everything. If you do happen to be missing something head out the other main door to the centre and explore Henry Street, a fully pedestrianised shopping paradise!

Arnotts

The legendary Henry Street continues to impress by being home to the flagship store of Ireland’s oldest and largest department store, Arnotts. Not for the faint hearted Arnotts proudly presents a mouth-watering collection of designer brands in fashion beauty, homewares and more. To break up the entire day you could spend here there are several restaurants to choose from as well as a hairdressers and beauty salon. We’ll hardly recognise you when you return!

Grafton StreetGrafton Street

If that’s still not enough shopping, head on over the Liffey River to Grafton Street. Yet another pedestrianised street of shopper’s bliss with St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre located right at the top! We doubt you’ll even get to the top as Brown Thomas, Dublin’s most beautiful lifestyle store filled to the brim with top designer brands, meets you half way up!
