They’ve come a long way! When they began, their renowned Fish and Chips were served in a converted shed. Now you can enjoy an evening in their beautiful restaurant or get their Fish and Chips and their Fish Burger to take away.

Oscars Cafe Bar

No better way to spend an evening then by grabbing some grub in Oscars Café Bar. Located on Smithfield Square it serves delicious food and promises an amazing experience alongside vintage furnishings and a great selection of craft beers and wines.

Dice bar is another one of the Hood’s favourites. Located just off Smithfield Square on the Red Luas Line, their great staff, music and beer ensures a memorable night in Dublin. Dice Bar even brews its very own Revolution Dublin Beer and Augustine Steam Lager.
After a fantastic night, you’ve only a two minute walk back to us at The Hendrick!

The Belfry

The Belfry is a fabulous cocktail bar in Stoneybatter, near Smithfield and only a five minute walk from us at The Hendrick. Offering a selection of cocktails, craft beers and wines, The Belfry also love street food and offer many delicious options from their pop up food vans!

Frank Ryans

Frank Ryans is Smithfield’s cosy local pub always buzzing with activity. Rich with memorabilia, you can get an inside look into Dublin city culture. Always a passion for music, Frank Ryan’s have regular live music performances of blues, rock and even trad sessions. Thursday evenings have an amateur recording session, which is well worth a look.
Open daily offering great drink, small bites to eat, a place to watch the match, the works!

L. Mulligan Grocer

A pub swimming in culture with a passion for Irish produce. Mulligans have a delicious offering of food with a menu that changes regularly showcasing the best of seasonal food. Their love of whiskey, gin and beer ensures a mighty night in Dublin. Regular tasting events are also something to watch out for and their passion even stems as far as their own Whiskey and speciality spirits store in Powerscourt Town House the far side of the river.
