Dublin’s dance floor has long been a favourite for Hen Parties and in 2024, it will be no different. Whether you plan to boogie in Copper Face Jacks, dine on delicious food in one of our favourite Smithfield Restaurants or soak in Irish Culture at Dublin Castle. Planning your Hen Party in Dublin has never been easier with the Hendrick.

Hen party activities in dublin

There are lots of fun activities to do in Dublin on a hen party, and Smithfield is the perfect base for you and the gals to get started! Have an afternoon of fun, or a cup of afternoon tea, whatever you have planned you know that a Hen Do in Dublin is sure to be mighty craic.

Jameson distillery

Take a tour of the world’s favourite whiskey distillery, Jameson has a number of tours on show. Discover the Bow St. Experience and hear the forgotten stories of John Jameson’s famous drink. Why not get involved in a classy cocktail class and shake up Whiskey Sours, OId Fashioned and new modern takes. Don’t forget to taste your creations too… they couldn’t go to waste.

Vintage tea tour

Afternoon tea on a vintage bus, watching the sites of the city as you leave from Temple Bar to the Phoenix Park. Indulge in hand crafted sandwiches and sweet treats, finish the tour with hot tea and fresh scones. The vintage tea tour doesn’t offer a champagne pairing, making it a brilliant daytime activity in the capital city.

Prosecco & paint

Relax and unwind while still having a cheery laugh at Paint & Prosecco, Bubbles in one hand, paintbrush in the other. A perfect way to unleash bubble mayhen! These sessions take place around the city in stunning spaces, and each session is different than the last, so you don’t need to worry about repeating a previous hen activity.

Guinness storehouse

A real must do on your list of hen activities in Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse is one for the culture vultures. Steeped in Irish history dating back to 1759, Guinness is probably the first thing you thought of when looking for a hen trip to Ireland. Depending on your gang, there are a number of tours to choose from. Starting with the basic taster at the top, to an in depth tour around the brewery for the ultimate stout lover.

Relax at a spa

Get the gang and relax at one of Dublin’s day spa, the Buff Day Spa allows you to choose a package that suits everybody in your group. A day at the spa includes time to relax in the room of tranquility, a treatment or massage and refreshing herbal tea and waters.

Escape room

This Hen Activity may not be to everybody’s taste and often splits opinion. Escape Rooms are popping up all over Dublin Hen Parties are usually a great gang of detectives. Now there is only one question, can you escape within the time?

Escape room activity providers are plentiful in Dublin, with one room even taking place within the confines of a boat. A real immersive experience for you and the gals to get out of.

Pubs, clubs and bar crawls in dublin

Smithfield is home to a number of brilliant bars and pubs. Our bar in the Hendrick is the perfect place to have a drink before you and the gang head out into town for a memorable night. While there isn’t an official Dublin bar crawl, we’ve picked some of the best spots in the Irish capital.

Token

Just outside our front door, Token is a retro gaming bar serving up American diner style dinner and finger foods. You’ll find a range of delicious drinks here, with a cocktail bar and a host of craft beers on tap too. When you stay at the Hendrick, you’ll get 4 free tokens to play on their retro arcade games.

Fidelity

Before you depart Smithfield, take a stop off in Fidelity a groovy bar with banging beats, for the ones who love high-fidelity music on vinyls. The bar is a project by Whiplash brewery, who have won countless awards for their incredible range of beers. However, don’t get it twisted, Fidelity has a lot of delicious cocktails, try the Basil Marg and a handful of natural wines.

Temple bar

It wouldn’t be a Dublin hen party without having some fun along the cobbled streets of Temple Bar. Arguably the home of “Craic” in Ireland, Temple Bar has a lot more pubs than what it’s known for. A real Dubliner would have a pint in the Palace bar, one of the oldest in Dublin.

There is of course a number of famous pubs which no hen party in Dublin would be complete without a visit to. The Temple Bar is a legendary venue, forever packed with tourists and locals alike all searching for that pint of stout. It is a rite of passage after all.

Cafe en seine

A hen party isn’t complete without witnessing the cocktail masterclass on offer at Cafe En Seine. This Parisian style bar is in the heart of Dublin city centre. A perfect location to come for drinks, but a nice option for dining. Their range of Irish dishes with a foreign flair encorporated will leave everybody happy.

Just off Grafton Street, Cafe En Seine also hosts a Prosecco & Paint in their Balcony Bar. Keep an eye out to see if one is taking place during your trip to Ireland. However come here after dark and you’ll never have a bad time. Throw some of the most questionable dance moves and listen to some funky disco music.

Copper face jacks

At this stage in the night, we’re not sure if it’s Irish dancing or Patrick Swayze’s Dirty Dancing you’ll look like. However, like all good tours end in the gift shop, a Dublin hen party usually ends in Copper Face Jacks nightclub on Harcourt street. This city centre institute is a legendary club with an upbeat and cheesy playlist to dance the night away to.

Harcourt street clubs

If Coppers ain’t for you and the gals, the area on Harcourt street has tonnes of clubs. There is no truer Irish experience for a hen party than frequenting one of the clubs on this street. You’ll hear all the hit songs, tonnes of Irish accents and all you will remember is the hilarious experience of a night out in Dublin.
