Location of Smithfield
Smithfield is in the west side of Dublin City. However, you don’t have to walk far to find some of the best bars, restaurants and pubs. Delicious food and perfect pints are available all around the town. You can start off by grabbing a cracking cocktail in the Hendrick Bar, with our much loved 2 for €22 offer.
Smithfield’s location is centred around the square, and it converges into Stoneybatter hood too. It’s not like Springfield and Shelbyville, we love our neighbours and they love Smithfield back! Some of our favourite spots for a pint and a bite to eat are in L. Mulligan’s Grocer and Walshes!
Dining options in Smithfield
There are a number Extensive Food Menus in a number of spots, all served by attentive staff too. Finding your favourite cuisine is not a hard task in Smithfield, with almost every palate catered for in some way.
Asian food
One of our closest neighbours, and brand new restaurant additions to the Neighbourhood is aptly named, Sister7. It is the little sister to BigFan Bao. Recently added to the Michelin guide, you’re going to experience on of the bougier spots for dinner in the hood. Don’t be fooled by it’s addition to the guide, this is still a casual dining experience that won’t break the bank.
On the other end of the spectrum, Matsukawa is an authentic Edomae sushi experience. This fine dining experience seats just 8 people in the restaurant at any time. Live preperation of the freshest food including nigiri, sashimi and soups all made in the kitchen in front of you.
Irish food in the heart of Dublin
Amazing food isn’t always from a cuisine far away… There are some excellent restaurants with friendly staff preparing fresh food. New addition to the square is Hidden, by One Society. Their brunch offers delectable food and a long list with options for drinks. Brunch is served until 3pm everyday.

Fast Food isn’t all takeaways, you’ll see this on a trip to Fish Shop on Benburb street. You’ll find the best Fish & Chips you’ve ever eaten, and take it up a notch with their grilled langostines or Crab Claws from the sunny South East.

If you’re in the mood for a quick bite to eat as you sip a pint, come down to the Hendrick Lobby. We have a selection of Pizza, Sharing Charcuterie Boards and finger food snacks. Our cocktail list has all the classics. You can’t go wrong by stopping here before a night out. With 2 for €22 on cocktails, surely the best value in the city.

The Hendrick has become a place to host your unique event in recent times, from Film Screenings to Book Launches and even a Marketing Meet up. The lobby is free to use by budding event planners, and our hot food options are great for sharing with attendees.
