Turning trash into treasure
Throughout April, The Hendrick is teaming up with guests to collect leftover plastic bottles and cans. Instead of these ending up in landfills, they’ll be whisked away to government return centres. The money earned from these returns will then be donated to a local Dublin charity.
Poets for the planet: a celebration of earth
Mark your calendars for April 14th! The Hendrick is hosting a unique event called “Poets for the Planet.” This inspiring day will feature 11 local artists who will share their talents through poetry, spoken word, and music. What is Earth month?
Since 1970, April 22nd has become a special celebration of sustainable events. Earth Day joins over 1 billion people from more than 193 countries. 2024’s Earth day has an official theme of Planet vs Plastics. As the years began to roll, the popularity of Earth Day increased also. With a celebration of a day, soon enough became the month of April became known as Earth Month.
