As much as we try, you can’t spend a full stag weekend in a Dublin pub. You have to go out and experience the city centre and the wide variety of stag activities in Dublin. The city and its surroundings has plenty of things to do for stag party and those just on a lads holiday to the city.
Guinness factory tour
Number one on the list for stags, hens, couples, families and friends visiting Dublin has to be the Guinness Storehouse. The Storehouse, fondly known as the “Home of the Black Stuff” amongst Dubliners, is a visitor experience like no other. St. James’ Gate is just 15 minute walk from the Hendrick.
Choose from the standard tour, where you start at the ground floor and discover exactly what goes into the great brand that is Guinness. Join the academy and learn how to pull the perfect pour, and test your mates to the best pint. If you are true stouties, then get the full experience and explore the working brewery with your very own vip guest group and tour guide.
Indoor karting
Strap in and race your mates in the ultimate grand prix event at Kylemore Karting. Compete in a head to head practice session before putting pedal to the metal in an F1 style qualifying event. As the race beckons, get into the zone and speed past your pals to the finish line.
Get into the sports side of things at footee
Footee is a outdoor games experience in Tallaght, south Dublin. This fantastic activity is perfect for groups that don’t want to stay in the pub all day. You can get to Tallaght by the Luas from Smithfield. However, they also offer a return minibus from their grounds to the Hendrick! You and your pals all wear a big inflatable football, while trying to chase a smaller football around the park. There’s lots of bumps, tumbles and falls, all part of the game of course. Team up with your pals in a 5 v 5 game where Robin Hood meets Dodgeball. Similar to paintball, each player is armed with a bow and arrow in this Warzone style match. Have your aim, agility and reactions tested until one team are crowned champions.

The amazing stags head is an institution amongst Dublin bars and must be fit into even the most action packed days. There has been a tavern at this site in the capital city since 1770, and it won’t change soon. The comedy crunch is held every Sunday and Monday night downstairs in the Stags Head.
Croke park
Our guests in Dublin who come from abroad may not be familiar with Croke Park, or indeed Gaelic Football or Hurling. Take a tour of the Dublin skyline and learn the history of this famous Irish sport. Go into the museum and try out the interactive games zone.
Check your reactions, try out passing the ball and discover how to take the ball down from the sky in the high ball challenge. Croke Park is easily accessible through public transport, or you can walk there and explore the city as you get there.
Where to go for a pint on a stag do in dublin
There are lots of Pubs in Dublin, and it wouldn’t be possible to go to every one of them. However, we wouldn’t recommend them all. In Smithfield, you have a good selection of traditional bars like the Cobblestone to more nouvelle stylish Fidelity.
Temple bar
If you’re coming to Dublin for a stag weekend, then there is a good chance you may not have visited the
Temple Bar before. The area itself has winding cobbled streets, performers, restaurants, musicians and of course, pubs.
The Temple Bar Pub is probably the most famous of the lot. It’s very busy, but it’s a brilliant place to start in the cultural quarter of the city centre. The lively atmosphere will have all the gang ready for a night on the err… cobbles.
Bad bobs
The start of one of those unforgettable nights is upon us. One of the popular activities for a stag do in Dublin is a bar crawl. However, quality over quantity is the mantra in Temple Bar, and there are some whopper places to grab a drink.
Bad Bobs is well known as venue for a stag party to stop into. Offering exclusive packages, food and a number of bars spread across three floors. The venue is in the heart of Temple Bar, so make sure you book in your Dublin stag party with the venue before arriving.
Buskers
The last stop on the Temple Bar route is Buskers on Fleet Street. Known for its tasty traditional food, pitchers of beer and pool tables for all to enjoy. The Temple Bar Venue has a number of deals for groups visiting.

Wexford / harcourt / camden street area
Leaving Temple Bar, and up Grafton street, you soon arrive at the Harcourt street area. Between here, Wexford street & Camden street you will find a number of bars that double up as music venues.
Ryans
In this quaint tavern, you will see an interior that hasn’t changed much since it was opened in 1872. Ryans of Camden street is a meeting place for all. It’s not the biggest of venues, so this won’t be on every Dublin stag do list of stops.
The Camden
Next to Ryans is a self proclaimed “Superbar” consisting of Europe’s largest 4k screen, and they can show up to 40 live matches at once. This really is what you call a sports bar.
The Camden is also home to the five lamps brewery, you can organise a tour for an adventurous stag activity. The tour includes a walk through, a short film, delicious drink samples and a Q&A with the brewers themselves.
You will also find Jimmy Rabbite’s side car bar, a speakeasy up above, a late night disco bar and a few more hidden treats within the Camden. It’s a brilliant spot, but arrive in small groups!
Copper face jacks
Home to the Police, Nurses and country folk of Ireland. Copper Face Jacks even has it’s own musical about the carry on that happens inside this Harcourt street venue. It’s iconic nightclub entry queue is a testament of patience but once inside, you sure of a good Dublin night out.
Usually the last stop in the pub crawl around Dublin city centre, this nightclub may be a little different to what you are used to. There are lots of rooms to try out, and bars too.
